 This gal just celebrated her 3rd birthday!  I had so much fun taking birthday pictures for her!  She just explored every inch of the area we were in and told me all kinds of stories of rocks, birds, and flowers.  :)  AK - you are beautiful and it is a joy to watch you grow!

 

Two! | Apex Children Photographer

Our little man just turned two last week.  Oh how fast the time has gone!  Feels like yesterday I was posting his newborn pictures.  :)  Two year olds are not easy subjects to photograph in general.  So this being my own child, I was kind of dreading doing this session!  However, I was able to capture a few cute ones (despite a fairly uncooperative little boy) including one perfect one of that classic Levi smile.  We can't believe how big you have gotten, sweet boy!  We love you so much!

Tiny & New | Apex Newborn Photographer

This little guy, after giving Mom a bunch of trouble during pregnancy, decided to come a whole month early and surprise everyone.  Despite being early, he was very healthy and everyone got to go home together.  Mr. T did great for his session even though I didn't get a hold of him till 12 days old.  He was still plenty sleepy!  And still teeny tiny.  :)  Please excuse all the pictures - I couldn't decide which ones to post!  He is, after all, my new nephew.  :)

Sisters | Apex Children Photographer

This was one of those sessions that took about 5 reschedules to get done!  Between winter colds and crummy weather we just couldn't find a day that worked!  But we finally scheduled for a BEAUTIFUL Saturday afternoon and just had a great session.  These girls were great.  A little shy at first {little one still stayed pretty serious the whole time!} but they soon opened up and we got some sweet shots.  Enjoy O Family! 

Sweet Baby Sister | Raleigh Newborn Photographer

This sweet little family is growing!  I can't believe that just about 2 years ago I photographed big sister {as one of my very first newborn sessions}!  And now baby sister has arrived - perfect and sweet.  :)  I had a wonderful morning with the B Family and their new little bundle.  Everyone did great - including big sister!  It was definitely one of those sessions that you could have photographed all day long.  :)  Enjoy, B Family!  Can't wait to see you all again soon!

Ruffles, Bows and Pearls | Apex Child Photographer

I can't believe this little gal is already 6 months old!  Where has the time gone??  Feels like yesterday we were doing her newborn pictures.  Thankfully, Miss N was much more cooperative for this photo session and we had so much fun!  Mom wanted to do some indoor pictures which is not my typical preference.  But knowing that January weather could be very iffy in North Carolina we decided that planning an indoor session would be best.  It turned out to be a beautiful weekend in NC but we still did our shoot as planned in my "mock" studio.  Mom had a vision and it turned out great!  Using the classic white walls and dark floors, we played Miss N up in all kinds of frilly bows, ruffles and even {real!} pearls!  We even got some adorable V-day pictures.  :)  I hope you enjoy, B Family!  I had a wonderful afternoon with you guys and look forward to seeing you soon!

New Years Baby | Durham Newborn Photographer

This sweet baby girl made her grand entrance on January 1st!  What a fun birthday!  I was supposed to take her picture at 6 days old but because of complications we had to push off the session for another week.  Most babies at 13 days will not be so cooperative.  But this gal was as perfect as perfect could be!  I could have photographed her all day.  :)  And what a special photo session - all of her grandparents were there along with mom and dad.  Just a fun and relaxing afternoon celebrating the birth of Miss R.  Enjoy K Family!

Oh, what a DREARY day we had for our photo shoot!  Unfortunately, we couldn't really reschedule because of travel plans and upcoming holidays.  So, we made the most of our rainy and dark morning.  :)  The S Family was only going to be all together for a few days around Christmas and Mom wanted to document that occasion.  Hope you had a wonderful holiday, S Family!  Enjoy!

Welcome | Apex Family Photographer

I am so glad to have met this beautiful family!  They have only been North Carolinians for only a month and just happened to find my name on the web.  We decided on downtown Apex as our location and what a perfect spot it was!  Little did I know but little man LOVES trains!  Even being a bit shy we still got him excited about the caboose, and the engines and the railroad tracks.  It really was a fun afternoon!  Welcome to Apex, M Family!  Enjoy!
